The last week of school was so fun for both Kaylee and Malorie. For Kaylee's talent show she made up a dance with her friend Sarah McEwen and had as much fun practicing it as performing it. I made their matching twirly skirts- plus an extra one for Mal too. They were such confident little dancers and on a multi-leveled stage! Kaylee has loved 2nd grade and her amazing teacher Miss Rassmussen who has given Kaylee such a boost in her math and vocabulary skills. Kaylee is an incredible reader and has read Fablehaven, Black Beauty, some of Harry Potter and anything else she could get her hands on. She also enjoys reading her scriptures and the Friend magazine from cover to cover. I couldn't be more proud of her many achievements this year.
Malorie was in Mrs. Homer's class and Mal adored her and would do anything to please her. She came home from school nearly every day and would know who had needed a friend that day and who hadn't been nice or who didn't listen to the teacher. She worked hard on her reading and is great at her letters and sounds. Malorie also had a talent show and she helped tell the story of The Hungry Caterpillar and sang her little heart out during their program- her favorite song was called "Kiss your Brain".
